Doris Dimitrius (Adkins) Borders

Doris Dimitrius Borders was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma April 29,1943 to the joyous parents, Luther and Magnolia Adkins. Doris‘s Christian training started at an early age and she united with Cleves Memorial Church in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Her formal education was started at Bannaker Elementary and finished at Dunbar High School.
Doris moved to Kansas City, Missouri after high school and years later was united in marriage with her high school sweetheart, Archester Borders. To this happy union was born a .. daughter, Alesha Carol Borders-Coleman and a son, Archester Clayton Borders II.
Everyone who knew Doris remembers. her for her love of cooking and entertaining. Her goal in life was to make everyone happy. She will always be remembered for her love and her kind ways.
Doris‘s brother, Luther Adkins, Jr., preceded her indeath in 1968.
Doris departed this life and traveled home to be with her heavenly father on Wednesday, July 30,1997. While we all loved and cherished her, the father called her home to rest.
Doris leaves to mourn her homegoing: her loving and devoted husband, Archester Clayton Borders; her cherished daughter and son-in-law, Alesha Borders-Coleman and Kevin Coleman; and her cherished son, Archester Clayton Borders II, all of Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren, Lafayette, Arianna, and Devin; her parents, Luther and Magnolia Adkins of Okmulgee, OK; her sister, Chloteaus Whitaker of Kansas City, MO and her sister and brother-in-law, Rich and Shirley Chaplin of Tulsa, OK; and a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends.
