At some point Otto went to Texas. When he returned from Texas he married Frances Makens. They stayed with Otto's mother, Ann Nelson, on the old farm between Columbus and Saratoga North of the highway, across from James Headings farm.
Finally Otto moved to the Genchan land. This land was bought from the Headings (not the same one above). It is not known where his mother was staying at this time. It is known that she moved to Durant, OK where she lived and died.
