Charles E. Lewis
Charles Edward Lewis, 59, a lifelong resident of Okmulgee died on February 20, 2004 in the local hospital. He was born September 8, 1944, the son of the Cleo (Williams) Lewis and the late Preston Lewis, Jr., in Okmulgee, OK. He attended the Okmulgee Public Schools and worked for Randy‘s Frozen Foods. Mr. Lewis was a member of the First Baptist Church-Central.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie Lyons of Okmulgee, OK; his mother, Cleo Lewis, Okmulgee, OK; his step-son, Steve Mangum & wife, Tracy of Okmulgee, OK; stepdaughters, Lois Mitchell and husband, Jim, Rita Murphy & husband Jack, Darlene Fisher and husband Willie, Lorraine Hill and husband Roy and Barbara Mangum, all of Okmulgee, OK; his brothers, Rayford Powdrill & wife Brenda of ,Okmulgee, OK; George Lewis & wife Veronica, Okmulgee, OK; and Tommy Wayne Love, Tulsa, OK; his sisters, Rosetta Deckard, Norma Drew & husband Dave, Joyce Watkins, Sandra Payne and husband Curtis, all of Okmulgee, OK; Kathy Ellis & husband Donnie, Tulsa, Loretta Patton & husband Brian, Glenda Wallace and husband Danny, Bobbie Gresham & husband. Jerome, Debra Lewis and Charlotte Love, all of Okmulgee, OK; Patricia. Love and Gwen Love, both of Tulsa, OK; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren along with a caravan of other relatives and friends.
Service of Memory will be held on Saturday, February 28, at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Central. The Pastor, Reverend Preston W. Jackson, Sr., will officiate. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Okmulgee, OK. Funeral services are under direction of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Director‘s, Inc. of Okmulgee, OK.
