Wynola Mae Winn
1947 - 2006
Wynola was born in Summit, OK on April 23, 1947, to Acil and Eddie (Thomas) Winn. Later the family moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma, where she enjoyed the love of parents and eight siblings. She professed faith in God early in life uniting with Old Agency Baptist Church. She always lived in harmony with God where ever she made her home. In Salina, Kansas she united with St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church. After moving to Wichita, KS, she united with New Salem Baptist Church. Wynola was a faithful member, working in many church organizations (choir, usher board, Sunday School, Missionary and others.) Her formal education was in the Muskogee School System. She graduated from Manual Training High School, in 1966.
She took control of her life and enjoyed the adventures of solving her problems on her own, even in the toughest of times. Because of Her courage, kindness, and generosity toward mankind, and God’s love and guidance, she adopted her daughter Nichole Joy Winn. She was a loving and caring Mother, and later a proud Grandmother.
She was employed at Philips Lighting Company in Salina, many years, before retiring for health reasons. After spending five decades in God’s earthly garden (59 years), God had the perfect time to gather flowers from His garden. On May 27, 2006 at 12:15 p.m. He chose Wynola for His heavenly garden, giving her eternal rest.
